Bristol’s Christmas markets return

Throughout November and December, some of Bristol’s winter favourites, the Christmas markets, make a return. With different markets all over the city, there’s something for everyone. Aside from the responsibilities of approaching deadlines, revision and exams, there’s no reason for you to not check these out:

Broadmead Christmas market

On Friday the 10th of November, the Broadmead Christmas market returned for the ninth year running. Open daily from then until Christmas Eve, there’s plenty of time for you to enjoy the festivities that are upon us.

Located amongst Bristol’s city centre Shopping Quarter, there you will find over 40 wooden chalet market stalls selling unique handmade gifts for your loved ones as well as seasonal food and drink.

Also, if you fancy taking a break from the tiring task of Christmas shopping, why not treat yourself to a traditional German Schnitzel, churro or crepe that the market has to offer. It isn’t just the food that’s worth talking about; Broadmead’s market also has warming mulled wine, hot chocolates and beers. This is just a selection of what’s available! New for 2017 too are Yorkshire pudding wraps, a Jägerbarn bar and beer garden.

St Nicholas Christmas market

Head on down to Corn Street to find the Christmas “St Nicks” market. Here from Sunday the 19th of November right until Christmas Eve, this is the perfect place to find that gift you have been looking for. At St Nicks you’ll find everything from unique fashion, individual gifts, handmade jewellery and other accessories. There’s also plenty of scrumptious food and drinks, what more could you want?

Wrap up warm and snuggle up in their comfortable and covered seating area, protecting you from the harsh Bristol winter weather as you try out their delicious street food and mulled wine. There’s plenty going on down at the Harbour, with live music for you to listen to whilst you soak up the merriment.

So, what are you waiting for? Dig out your beloved Christmas jumpers, grab your warm winter coat and head on down to Bristol’s wonderful winter Christmas markets.
