First Bus have announced that the U3 Bus Service has been suspended with immediate effect. It comes the day after UWE decided to move all teaching online for the rest of the academic year.
In a statement released via the companies twitter account on March 18th, the following was said “Following conversations with @UWEBristol, the service U3 will be suspended with immediate effect until the new academic year. Those wishing to make the journey between UWE Frenchay and the City Centre, please use service 70 which operates 24/7″.
The U1 has been moved to Sundays only and the U2 will be suspended from March 28th. The M1 and M3 remain unaffected at the time of writing. The 71 has also been suspended. This will cause some disruption to those still having to commute to and from Bower Ashton, which has also moved to online teaching where possible.
